Paul Herfs is senior researcher at the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER). His primary research concerns internationonal medical graduates from outside the European Economic Area (non-EEA) who want to set up as doctors in the Netherlands and whose medical degrees are assessed as unequal to Dutch medical degrees by the Secretary of Health.
